Putting on the Whole Armor of God

Tonight after choir practice our Choir director was talking to us about the Armor of God.

The Armor of God is found in Ephesians 6: 11, 13-18 it reads, Verse 11: "Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the  of the devil."

Verse 13: "Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. "

Verse 14: "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness."

Verse 15: "And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace."

Verse 16: "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."

Verse 17: "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

Verse 18: "Praying always wit all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

She had said that they had discussed this today during their Sunday school. She was telling us that we need to put on the whole armor of God and need to up the anti as Satan is upping his anti.

She told us not only do we need the sword, the breastplate and the helmet, but we need to being using the gps, night goggles and other modern ways to protect ourselves. She was saying the with gps it goes from the earth to the satellite and then back to earth and that is similar to our prayers and receiving answers.

One of the guys in the choir said that us as adults need to be able to be examples to those younger then us and help them to be able to withstand the wickedness and the temptations of Satan.

We live in a very wicked and troubled world. We need to be spiritual prepared to defend our believes and to let Satan know that we are not going to follow him. We need to have the Savior be a major part of our lives to be able to withstand all that is happening in this world.
