Context of what you read

Have you ever been reading your scriptures and you come to one of your favorite verses that you have marked and while reading the scriptures around it you realize what the story is behind that verse?

Well this happened to me last night. Currently I am reading in the new Testament and have just gotten to Luke. One of my favorite verses is Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing shall be impossible."

I came upon this verse while I was going to school down in Price, Ut at the College of Eastern Utah (now Utah State extension). This scripture really stuck out to me as I was going through the loss of my grandma, moving to Price and going to a new school.

But last night while I was reading in the first Chapter of Luke I realized that this was Mary (Christ's mother) and Elizabeth her cousin talking about Elizabeth becoming pregnant in her old age who had been barren.

It is truly amazing that through Christ nothing truly is impossible. What a great blessing it is to know that if we truly ask God for assistance in whatever we are going through in life that we can make it through and what seems impossible can become possible.
